3 key ways I generate “luck” (and big money) on YouTube + Medium
Early on in my YouTube and Medium journey, someone started aggressively chirping me in the comments of one of my videos.
The only reason I’d achieved any success, he told me, was pure dumb luck.
He argued I was making money on Medium because the algorithm just happened to like something I had written.
No, it wasn’t that I’d worked hard or done anything special — it was just that I had a horseshoe up my butt or something.
And while I don’t disagree that luck — good and bad — plays a huge role in every aspect of our lives, this guy missed the point completely.
He failed and I succeeded at Medium because he chose to spend his time getting mad online, and I chose to spend mine creating my own luck.
